Our friends at Epic dropped major news last night in their annual State Of Unreal keynote at the Game Developer Conference. As a team who spends a serious chunk of each day in Unreal Engine, here's a quick rundown of what's got us excited at Dimension.

Unreal 5.2 Preview

Available now, 5.2 brings improvements in stability and new functionality, which will give us more creative power in both virtual production and virtual world creation.

Introducing: Epic Fab

Epic Games is merging all of its asset marketplaces into one huge location, launching later this year. Unreal Engine Marketplace, Quixel Bridge, Artstation and Sketchfab all in one asset library accessible inside of Unreal Engine.

Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) available now

This allows anyone to use the Unreal Engine tools to make and publish custom games and experiences inside of Fortnite.

MetaHuman Animator

MetaHuman Animator was officially shown to the public with a super demo on stage. It will be available in a couple of months.

Tim Sweeney

CEO, Epic Games
