Same teams. Same skills
New combined powers.
Nikon Creates has announced a state-of-the-art volumetric capture studio, becoming the first Japanese licensed partner for Microsoft’s Mixed Reality Capture Studios (MRCS).
Dimension, which launched the first ever MRCS studio in 2017, was commissioned to bring its volumetric expertise to support the build and deployment of the volumetric stage in Heiwajima, Ota-ku, Tokyo.
The Dimension team has previously partnered with Mark Roberts Motion Control, a Nikon company, to build and operate the Polymotion Stage - the world's first mobile multi-solution volumetric capture studio. Polymotion Stage has been used to capture revolutionary content for sports coverage, fashion shows, music videos and reality TV.
A long-established pioneer in the optics space, Nikon now has the cutting edge tools to offer Japanese content creators a space to capture 3D human performances for use in AR, VR, TV, film, the metaverse and beyond.
