Hot on the heels of the announcement of his partnership with Nike in April 2023, a larger-than-life Erling Haaland appeared to descend on the brand’s flagship NikeTown London store.
This powerful augmented reality activation was created by OMM Agency, with volumetric capture supplied by Dimension.
Nike’s agency OMM devised and executed the AR activation as part of Manchester City star Erling Haaland’s freshly signed deal with the brand, for which Nike created the tag “FORCE 9”. The activation sees the player in his signature goal celebration, complete with floating boots.
The volumetric video was captured by Dimension, creating a 3D virtual human allowing for a seamless 360° experience. The activation uses 8th Wall’s WebAR, enabling in-browser viewing without downloading a 3rd party app.
