This April, we’re looking forward to the 28th edition of FMX – Film & Media Exchange, one of the world’s most important conferences dedicated to animation, effects, interactive, and immersive media.

Spread across four days from the 23rd to the 26th of April at Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart, Germany. Students and professionals will gather from across the world to witness the latest industry topics through keynotes, workshops, and exclusive events.

On Wednesday 24th of April, Dimension’s Steve Jelley (Co-founder and Co-CEO), Keylight’s Chris deFaria, and DNEG’s Paul Franklin will demystify realtime game engines for story worlds in a panel discussion. During their presentation, attendees will have a unique opportunity to see a sneak of our upcoming realtime short film “Dream of the Black Whales”, which demonstrates a novel game engine pipeline for content creation.

“Dream of the Black Whales” is the second short film from The Hour Blue StoryWorld: a multi-platform science fiction narrative that debuted at the 2023 Annecy Animation Film Festival.

"Real-time dreams: Can game engine unlock story worlds?"

Dimension’s Steve Jelley, Keylight’s Chris deFaria, and DNEG’s Paul Franklin.
