Screening at Tribeca Film Festival


Fireworks is a collaboration between Dimension, DNEG, and Wilder Films shot using real-time virtual production technology within an LED volume. Wilder Films presents short film Fireworks, alongside a series of behind-the-scenes films to help demystify the virtual production process used to shoot the film.

A virtual production


Fireworks is a tense, political thriller set simultaneously in an MI6 ops room and on the ground in Tripoli, all filmed within an LED volume. It is directed by double Oscar winner Paul Franklin, written by Steven Lally, produced by Annalise Davis and stars Charlotte Riley.

An Epic Megagrant production


The short film is a collaboration between Dimension, DNEG and Wilder Films with support from an Epic Games Megagrant, London-based Lipsync Post Production, and StoryFutures Academy.

Selected for Tribeca Film Festival


Fireworks had its world premiere at the Curzon Soho cinema in London followed by a panel masterclass with Callum Macmillan, Dimension’s Co-CEO & CTO and Fireworks’ Virtual Production Supervisor. Fireworks has been selected to premiere at the world renowned Tribeca Film Festival in June 2022.

Accompanying the short film are a series of five behind-the-scenes films, produced by StoryFutures Academy.
