Celebrating their collaborative collection in an imaginative, pioneering and artful manner, H&M x Simone Rocha selected volumetric video to bring art, fashion and iconic figures into invited guests’ homes through technology, in a first of its kind fashion innovation.

A futuristic, 4D fashion experience

The H&M x Simone Rocha collaboration has been brought to life using a combination of beautiful pop-up prints by painter Faye Wei Wei, stunning volumetric video and 8th Wall webAR.

A mixed reality, pop-up show

By scanning QR codes in a pop-up book mailed out around the world, volumetric performances are brought to life in the scene, modelling the collection in AR. Each garment in the collection is shown in stunning detail, with beautiful, authentic movement.

A global, volumetric collaboration

Life-like performances from Helena Bonham-Carter, Kaia Gerber and more were captured using Microsoft Mixed Reality Capture technology primarily at Dimension’s London studio, supported by our friends at Metastage in LA. The project was produced by Gainsbury & Whiting in collaboration with Unit9.
