Key responsibilities

  • Improve the implementation and execution of production best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects from pre-production to release, ensuring production pipelines are carried out effectively on all projects.
  • Communicate and mitigate any project risks or issues with the Production Director and other appropriate team members.
  • Create relevant documentation for production pipelines and processes.
  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership and communication skills. 
  • Effectively manage project-based staffing needs and budgeting plans.
  • Ensure the high quality standards and expectations of the Hammerhead studio are met across all projects.
  • Ensure task and bug database is maintained and improved where applicable.

Requirements

  • You have 4-5+ years experience in production role.
  • You have excellent knowledge of production processes and pipelines.

  • You have shipped multiple console titles or mobile titles.
  • You are highly self-motivated and collaborative.

Desirable

  • Certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner or other formal Agile/Scrum training.
  • Familiarity with virtual reality head mounted displays and motion controllers.
  • History of working within rapid prototyping environments, such as game jams.
  • Real passion for video games, films and other creative mediums.

We love to work with people who want to bring original and amazing ideas to life to craft extraordinary experiences and are seeking a like-minded VFX Producer that can effectively run our post-production pipelines and develop a strong team on our upcoming projects.

You’ll need excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills - as well as the ability to work well under pressure with a forward-thinking approach.  You’ll be the first point of contact on every aspect of the post production process, reporting directly into the Head of Production and Management Team.

The role will cover the production span from budgeting and planning to final delivery. Once the shoot has taken place, you’ll take sole ownership of the project (supported by the HoP), becoming the client’s first point of contact, managing all new incoming requests, providing progress reports, and ensuring final delivery dates are hit.

Throughout the post process, you’ll be required to maintain the production tracking databases daily, maintaining an accurate summary of each project based on artist progress.

Working closely with the Lead Animator to realise the creative vision, strong communication skills will play to your advantage, as will a pro-active stance to identify and communicate issues and risks. We’re looking for talented Animators to join the team and participate in creating immersive experiences. You'll have the opportunity to work with some of the most advanced technologies in character creation - Mo-Cap data, 3D body-scans and industry defining 4D volumetric video capture – to produce world-class animation for our titles


Working closely with the Lead Animator to realise the creative vision, strong communication skills will play to your advantage, as will a pro-active stance to identify and communicate issues and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Feedback on story boards.
  • Assembling animatic and early pre-viz.
  • Assisting with Mo-Cap, 3D and 4D volumetric shoots.
  • Providing feedback on Mo-Cap quality, rigs, and character rig improvements.
  • Post animating and keyframing animations.
  • Helping with assembling the experience in Unreal and Unity.
  • Meet strict production deadlines/goals and be capable of adapting your approach and strategies when necessary.
  • Liaise with key members of staff to help identify project workflows and potential resource requirements.

Technical requirements

  • Good working knowledge of Maya.
  • UE4 and Unity experience is beneficial.
  • Experience of Motion Builder is advantageous.
  • Meticulous working methodologies essential.

Skills requirements

  • Strong animation background.

We have an exciting opportunity available for a junior tech artist to assist our existing post-production team.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your understanding of our post-production pipelines across all stages. Including being on set, learning bespoke software, and developing your skills in traditional vfx software.

Requirements

  • Relevant training qualification with a recognized Houdini.
  • An understanding of 3D pipelines and formats.
  • Great communication skills with a commitment to delivering excellent content.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Be able to work well within a team, to take instruction as well as feeling confident in coming up with new ideas.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments tasked to you.
